Amsric Foods Ltd was initially given the Franchise for KFC in 1992.

The first KFC express unit for Amsric Foods was opened in December 1993 in Woking. This was followed six months later by another express unit in Yateley. Amsric was allocated a site in Fulham on the busy North End Road, which was developed as a 30 seat express unit in December 1995.

With these three stores a lot of experience was gained and hence Amsric was ready for a bigger project. Consequently a 150-seat restaurant was opened next to Tower of London in June 1996. Meanwhile an opportunity arose whereby the existing Woking express unit could be extended and converted into a 70-seat restaurant. This project was completed within 2weeks in September 1997 and hence proved to be very successful. Amsric headquarters was then relocated to the upper floors of this building.

In 1999 two units were opened. New Malden was developed as a 60-seat restaurant and was opened in June 1999. In December of that year a food court unit was opened in Peacocks Shopping centre, in Woking.
In between the two developments an existing Franchisee due to his age was retiring from the business. Amsric negotiated and bought the Dorking KFC restaurant in August 1999.

In June 2001 the KFC Fleet express unit was acquired.

Amsric is developing its first Drive thru restaurant in Basingstoke. The entire building was constructed on a Leisure Park in November 2002 with very high sales volume.
